I feel so old when I realize how much of the world is now online and I don't even know it exists! Way to go Amy! We're so excited to get to know you.

Just a thought--with the books that Tyler has to recycle cuz they are too damaged, why don't you set up an Etsy shop and sell the illustrated pages as craft supplies? I sold some of those in collage "kits" on Ebay last summer for between $15 and $25 each (also with beads, buttons, etc.) Illustrations from vintage children's books are all the rage for card making, scrap books, collage, etc right now.

Yes, there's now more room, and lots of people are donating books right now because of that. Some book donations end up in the book sale, but many will find a home on the shelves. I just gave them a set of two History of Art books that I loved having, but will enjoy sharing more.

Nice article on the new library. I'm glad they will have more space now! That means more books, right?

Ran across you blog from the OTCA Website Have some info concerning the John Minear family who moved to Camas Prairie (Soldier) from Silver City in the 1890's that may be of interest. Would like to donate material to a responsible organization before it is lost. A. P Minear John Minear and family Catherine Minear Moore
